If you're experiencing problems with your computer (e.g., it's sluggish, an application stops responding, you get random error messages), one of the most effective methods of resolving these types of issues is to reboot. On a PC, click "Start," then "Shutdown," and select "Restart" from the drop-down menu. On a Mac, click the Apple logo and select "Restart" from the menu. If your computer doesn't respond when attempting to restart, you may have to perform a "cold boot." Hold in the computer's power button for about 10 seconds until the computer shuts off. If you still experience issues after performing these steps, please report your issue to the Computing Help Desk (ext. 4357).
