Buffalo State Dining is pleased to present the first Chartwells Iron Chef competition at Buffalo State today from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. in the Campbell Student Union upper lobby. Chartwells is in search of a celebrity chef to name Iron Chef, and we would like to invite you to come and cheer on our contestants!

Competing for the Iron Chef title are Timothly Ecklund, associate vice president for campus life; Tom Koller, senior associate director of intercollegiate athletics; Lisa Krieger, assistant vice president for finance and management; Kristen Catalano, assistant director of student life; and Curtis Brickhouse, associate director of residence life.

During the competition, teams will race to create one unique and tasteful dish in the timed one-hour challenge. Ingredients for the dish will be selected from a farmer’s market table where a variety of fresh ingredients will be available. A top-secret ingredient will be given to the teams that must be infused into their dishes. A panel of judges will decide which team deserves the title Iron Chef.
