Workshops to Success—Study Skills: Note Taking Made Easy

You’re listening to a lecture and you know that you should be taking notes. How do you go about it? Should you write down everything you hear? Or should you jot down only what you think is important? Is there some effective way to organize your notes on the page? Study Skills: Note Taking Made Easy is the next session in the Workshops to Success series sponsored by the Academic Skills Center of University College and offered free to Buffalo State students. Instructor-tutor Lauren Copeland will help you maximize your note-taking expertise by showing you the most effective approaches to this all-important skill for gathering information and making it easier to study what you’ve written.
