'COVID-19 Impact on American Trade and Global Value Chains: Risks, Strategies, and Future' - September 17

The Research and Economic Development Office and the Small Business Development Center will sponsor the lecture "COVID-19 Impact on American Trade and Global Value Chains: Risks, Strategies, and Future," presented by John R. Bryson, professor of enterprise and economic geography in the Birmingham Business School at the University of Birmingham, England, and Vida Vanchan, associate professor of geography and planning at Buffalo State College, on Thursday, September 17, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. via Zoom videoconference. Check in starts at 8:30 a.m.

Global commerce deeply affects American businesses and its citizens. The pandemic has fragmented and further exacerbated the fragility of this immense economic network. Drs. Bryson's and Vanchan’s presentation will include results of their recently published research and will consider the COVID-19 impact on the American economy, global supply chains, national security, and the America-China trade war. To register, please e-mail  Susan McCartney, director of the SBDC.
