Unwanted Pharmaceutical Drop-Off: Sat. Sept. 25th

Recent news about the detection of prescription drugs in drinking water has caused concern about the impact on human health. Also, storing expired and unwanted medications in your home increases the risk of accidental poisoning. Help protect our water and your safety by disposing of medicines properly through collection and incineration.
Saturday, Sept. 25th is a Pharmaceutical Drop-Off Day from 9:00 AM- 1:00 PM.
Erie County drop-off locations:
- Kenmore Mercy Hospital, 2950 Elmwood, Kenmore: Rear parking lot
- American Red Cross, 768 Delaware Ave, Buffalo: Corner of Delaware & Summer
- Village of East Aurora Public Works Barn, Pine Street extension: By Sinking Pond
- Hamburg Fair Grounds, 5820 South Park Ave, Hamburg: Enter from South Park Ave
Please bring medications in the original labeled container (blacken-out personal information).

- Controlled substances
- Expired/unusable/unwanted household prescriptions
- Syringes
- Sharps containers
- Over-the-counter medicines
