The Women in Literacy and Life Assembly (WILLA) of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) is pleased to announce presentations by teachers showcasing their work with twenty-first century literacies and gender issues, Saturday, June 26, from 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. in Cleveland Hall 418. Faculty, staff, and others are welcome! WILLA strives to improve the teaching of English language arts by focusing attention on gender-related issues in literacy teaching and learning, including the status and image of women, girls, men, and boys and to foster the exchange of ideas and perspectives among people interested in gender issues relating to English.
