Professional Development: Study Tour to Puerto Rico - A Nontraditional Way of Learning

Are you or your students interested in a study tour to Puerto Rico? Join us on Wednesday, September 21, from noon to 1:00 p.m. in the Professional Development Center (E. H. Butler Library 181B) for an overview of the study tour to Puerto Rico. Learn about its development as a 6-credit study-abroad course. Experience a visual tour of the trip phase of the program. Get an overview of an 11-year research study of the program. Among the goals of this presentation are to establish the relevance of this type of initiative toward narrowing the gap of participants by ethnicity in study-abroad programs and to encourage academic advisers, faculty, and staff in engaging prospective students, including themselves, in similar opportunities. Presented by Evelyn Rosario. A light lunch will be provided.
