Posted: Thursday, August 11, 2011Verizon Strike Will Affect Campus Phone Service Requests
We are likely to experience delays in all requests for telephone service changes while the strike by Verizon workers continues. This includes new phone line installations, existing phone line moves, and some other changes to existing telephone services. Verizon has informed us that their priority will be to resolve problems with existing service, and they hope to start processing orders for changes or new service within two weeks. You may continue to submit requests to the Telecommunication Office at ext. 3333, but we will not be able to give you an estimated timeline for Verizon's completion of these requests. Look for updates in the Daily Bulletin as additional information becomes available.
