Democracy and the State of Politics around the World: March 13

Please join us for the panel discussion "Democracy and the State of Politics around the World," presented by Patrick McGovern, Atta Ceesay, and Kyeonghi Baek of the Political Science Department and Vida Vanchan of the Geography and Planning Department, on Wednesday, March 13, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. in Bulger Communication Center 422. This event is part of the eighth annual Southeast Asia Week celebration March 11–14 and is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.

This panel seeks to provide a geopolitical framework of regions around the globe by providing information on the current state of politics in North America, Africa, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. The discussion will include the current state of democracy in these regions as well as how the current state of global politics affects the United States and vice versa.
