Professional Development - Notes, notes and more notes!

Taking notes in class has always been a challenge for students with many high incidence disabilities such as dyslexia, central auditory processing disorder, and for students who have physical impairments that prevent them from using pen and paper in class. This discussion session is intended to receive feedback from professors and instructors on how we can help students be independent note-takers. Is going all electronic a possibility? Can we decrease their dependency on others to take notes for them? How? The LiveScribe Pen which is one way to take notes in class will be demonstrated. Please join us to help our students find ways to be independent in their future endeavors. Presented by Sumana Silverheels. A light lunch will be provided on Tuesday, April 12, 12:15 – 1:30, in the Professional Development Center, BUTL 181B.
