As technology advances, our world becomes saturated with information. Everyday cell phones now have sensors built in that collect more data than some of the state of the art scientific equipment. Data generation is exponentially growing to the point where the amount of data generated in one year is surpassing the amount of data generated in all the previous years before it. We will take a look at qualitative research, the data environment in the information age, and interesting new tools and ideas in qualitative research. A light lunch will be provided on Wednesday, April 13, 12:00 – 1:00, in the Professional Development Center (BUTL 181B). Presented by Ken Fujiuchi.
