Jodelle Magner, associate professor of mathematics, was appointed editor of the New York State Mathematics Teachers’ Journal (NYSMTJ), a publication of the Association of Mathematics Teachers of New York State (AMTNYS). As a result, Magner was also appointed to the AMTNYS executive board during the organization's 69th annual fall conference, held in Rochester, New York, November 15 and 16. AMTNYS was founded in 1951 and currently has about 2,100 members statewide. Members of AMTNYS include teachers at the elementary, middle, secondary, and college levels as well as others interested in mathematics and mathematics education.
