In this free online webinar, presenters from SUNY Institute of Technology will share two perspectives on using web conferencing (Elluminate) to supplement online courses: the instructional designer's and the professor's view. They will discuss the experiences of moving to a more interactive environment, particularly the unanticipated and creative ones. They will consider the sense of community, discuss informal student feedback, and consider the benefits and costs of holding live sessions that can be archived. On Monday, March 28, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., they will discuss how Elluminate improved the classroom experience, useful tools in Elluminate, and some challenges associated with adding another technology to the learning experience.
