The Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) is the higher education reform bill passed by Congress in 2008. Among the many provisions in HEOA is a set of important regulations intended to help make the total cost of a student’s education easy to discern. Under the law, institutions are required to disclose textbook information on all Internet course schedules at the time they are published. These regulations went into effect July 1, 2010.
Faculty can assist bookstore staff by adhering to the deadline for summer and fall textbook orders. The deadline is Friday, February 25.
E-mail Chris Ouimet, place your order by phone at ext. 5509, or visit the bookstore’s website.
In addition to title and ISBN, please include the estimated enrollment for your class, the number of sections, and CRNs. If you are using the same books as this term (or summer 2010 or fall 2010), now is the time to order your textbooks.
The process is quick, easy and convenient—and helps the college comply with the HEOA. More information about the HEOA is available here.
