Webinar: Federal Government Expectations for Sexual Assault Resolution on Campus

We often think of Title IX as only applying to athletics. Actually, Title IX offers protection for all members of the college community against harassment and discrimination based on sex. Sexual assault is one form of harassment as defined by Title IX.

In this webinar, John Wesley Lowery, associate professor in the Student Affairs in Higher Education Department at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, will provide information on the lessons learned from recent Title IX complaints, the impact of pending legislation that would place new requirements on how sexual assault and other forms of intimate personal violence are addressed, and suggestions of key areas for institutions to focus upon when reviewing campus sexual assault response protocols.

The webinar will be held Tuesday, March 29, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Cleveland Hall 418.

For more information and to register, contact Liz McGough at ext. 4029.
