Declare your interdependence: According to the eat local movement, what you eat has an impact on the environment and the economy. When you buy local foods, your money circulates within the local economy and supports farming as a lifestyle. Urban farming reclaims vacant land for productive use. Come and taste dishes prepared using only local fruits, vegetables, dairy, and meats. Discover connections to local food producers and sellers. Join the debate between “The 100-Mile Diet” and “The Locavore’s Dilemma” on Tuesday, November 13, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in Classroom Building A205 and A209.
