Zhang Jie, professor of sociology and director of the Center for China Studies, published his paper "Linking Psychological Strain and Suicide Ideation: A Test of the Mediating Effect of Self-Determination Among Chinese Workers" in the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease 206 (5): 362–369. The study's coauthors were Yuxin Liu, Jianwei Zhang, and Chen Chen.
