Please join us for the Teaching and Learning Center workshop, “The Fulbright Experience: Tips for Guidance for a Successful Application,” presented by Kimberly Kline, professor of higher education administration, on Thursday, September 20, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in Chase Hall 109.
Are you interested in traveling to another country to work at a host institution? Have you heard of the Fulbright Program, but have no idea what it really entails? Join us for an interactive conversation about the Fulbright experience. Dr. Kline served as a Fulbright Scholar in 2012–2013 and 2015 in Ukraine, as well as a member of the U.S. Fulbright Program, U.S. Peer Review Committee for Ukraine, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Belarus, 2016–2018.
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Fulbright Program provides funding for students, scholars, teachers and professionals to undertake graduate study, advanced research, university teaching, and teaching in elementary and secondary schools. In this session, I will provide an overview of Fulbright Programs, and tell you a bit about my Fulbright Scholar adventure. You will be able to explore what program may be right for you, how to search for awards, and how to write a successful application.
Light snacks will be provided. Please register through the Workshop Registration System.
