Call for Papers: Women and Gender Studies Research Symposium

As part of Women's History Month, the women and gender studies program at Buffalo State will hold a daylong research symposium to showcase faculty, student, and staff scholarship and research related to women, gender, and sexuality. The symposium will take place on Friday, March 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney Art Center auditorium. Refreshments will be provided.

We encourage submissions from all departments, programs, and disciplines; diversity will be a key criterion in compiling the program. Presenters may deliver scholarly papers, hold roundtable or panel discussions, show multimedia presentations, or present posters. To be considered for the symposium, please submit the following materials to Jennifer Ryan, associate professor of English and symposium coordinator, by Friday, March 9: (1) a brief (200- to 500-word) description of your project and how it relates to women and gender studies; (2) a cover letter that includes the names of all collaborators and any unavailable times on the day of the symposium; (3) a short curriculum vitae or résumé.

For more information, please contact Ryan or visit the women and gender studies website.
