Buffalo State Alumni Association Beer Club at Gordon Biersch

The Buffalo State Alumni Association invites you to have a pint as we toast our glasses to the first round of the Buffalo State Alumni Beer Club in 2012. Gordon Biersch at the Walden Galleria in Buffalo will host and educate guests on beer and fare that enhances our appetites on Tuesday, February 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The club meets bimonthly, opposite the Buffalo State Alumni Wine Club. The evening includes beer tastings of five hand-selected brews and pairings and concludes with a brewery tour. Cost: $30/person.

The menu below was created specially for members of the Buffalo State community and their guests:

Appetizer
Hefeweizen served with blackened ahi tuna on top of a crispy wonton chip with baby greens, namasu, and a spicy rémoulade.

Salad
Golden Export served with arugula and watercress salad tossed in honey Dijon, roasted tomato, red onions, and crumbled Gorgonzola cheese.

Entrées
> Märzen served with marinated bistro medallions with garlic potato wedges and seasonal vegetables.
> Czech Pilsner served with barbecue braised beef brisket with garlic mash and asparagus.

Dessert
Schwarzbier served with white chocolate cheesecake baked in an Oreo crumb crust and topped with raspberry puree.
