Please inform students about the Volunteer and Service-Learning Center's (VSLC) Alternative Spring Break program and an information session held by student leaders today, January 31, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in Bacon Hall 115.
Alternative Spring Break is a drug- and alcohol-free opportunity to volunteer, get to know fellow classmates and community members, and grow in leadership and teamwork skills. Students stay together in a local church or community center, perform service throughout the week, and have a chance to get to know a community in new ways. Not to mention...it's fun! This year, two ASB experiences will engage students—one group will travel to Baltimore, Maryland, while the other will stay in our local Buffalo community.
Please direct students to the information session or the VSLC website for additional information. The application deadline is Wednesday, February 8.
