'Consider the Alternatives' Film Series Continues, Beginning Thursday, February 2, at 7:00 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney

The Consider the Alternatives film series continues this semester, curated by documentary filmmaker Meg Knowles, assistant professor, and media and social critic Mike Niman, associate professor, both of Buffalo State's Communication Department.

Consider the Alternatives asks its audience to consider the alternatives—always. Using an eclectic array of subject matter, the films showcased in Consider the Alternatives explore both alternative responses to social problems and alternative ways of living and organizing families and societies, all while celebrating human triumph over adversity and repression.

All screenings take place at 7:00 p.m. in the Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Auditorium of the Burchfield Penney Art Center. Admission is free for Buffalo State students, faculty, and staff as well as Burchfield Penney members, and $5 for the general public.

Thursday, February 2: The Last Train Home

Thursday, March 15: Walls of Sound: A Look Inside the House of Records and Girl Next Door

Thursday, April 19: Runaway
