New York Times Faculty Workshop

Faculty members are invited to attend the New York Times faculty workshop on Tuesday, February 12, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in E. H. Butler Library 210. During this short session, Laura Reino, New York Times representative, will explore ways to use the New York Times to foster students’ global awareness, promote critical thinking, engage students in active learning, and inspire students to become well-informed citizens. This interactive meeting will include opportunities to use the New York Times’ resources in your course.

In addition to sharing instructional strategies, Reino will present methods for using extensive online resources. The workshop will be interactive and will give faculty members an opportunity to exchange ideas. In an effort to make the workshop as engaging as possible, she will share resources that are specifically applicable to your course; should you be interested in this information, kindly submit your syllabus to her at laura.reino@pcfcorp.com 48 hours before the workshop, and she will share course-specific information from the Times' resources.

Should you require the New York Times in your course, you are eligible for a complimentary print or digital subscription for the duration of the class.

This workshop includes lunch. If you plan to attend, please e-mail Reino by Friday, February 8.
