Jeffrey Hirschberg, associate professor of communication and director of the television and film arts (TFA) program, was inducted into the Friars Club on February 19. A private club founded in 1904 in New York City, the Friars Club has approximately 1,500 members worldwide who work in the entertainment industry. Hirschberg is the author of Reflections of the Shadow: Creating Memorable Heroes and Villains for Film and TV and the founder of the production company ThreeAct Partners LLC. Hirschberg wrote, produced, and directed the comedy short Maxed Out, an official selection at the Friars Club Comedy Film Festival and the NYLA International Film Festival.
