'Dear Mr. Sibelius' at the Burchfield Penney: October 9-11

As part of FinnFest USA, Road Less Traveled Productions will present Dear Mr. Sibelius for three shows at the Burchfield Penney Art Center: Friday, October 9, at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11, at 2:00 p.m.

This semi-staged play is based on Finnish author Bo Carpelan’s 1986 novel, Axel. The novel formed the basis for the 1989 play, written (with Carpelan's permission) by Yrjö Juhani Renvall and Anssi Blomstedt. Music by the Finnish violinist and composer Jean Sibelius provides the background soundtrack. Now translated into English with grants from the Finlandia Foundation and TINFO-Theatre Info Finland, Dear Mr. Sibelius is making its premiere during FinnFest USA 2015.

More information on all the FinnFest activities is available at https://events.finnfestusa.org.
