Add Research to an Undergraduate Course: Faculty Opportunity

Use the summer of 2015 to revise an existing course or develop a new course that includes undergraduate research. Stipends will be provided to faculty members to support the development of new courses or the revision of existing courses to include a substantial undergraduate research, scholarly, or creative component. The expected outcome is submission of a course revision or new course proposal to the College Senate Curriculum Committee and teaching the course. This program is not intended to support minor revisions to courses that already include a research component. Lower-level and upper-level courses are eligible, and courses targeting specific student audiences (e.g, non-majors, pre-majors, majors) are acceptable. Awards of between $750 and $1,000 will be made to support faculty during summer 2015. It is expected that faculty members receiving awards will complete their projects by August 25, 2015. The application deadline for the current round is Friday, May 13.

Applications are available on the Undergraduate Research Office website.
