The College Planning Council has been engaged in discussions since November 2012 to create the next strategic plan for SUNY Buffalo State. A summary of efforts and a framework for the strategic plan, available on the Strategic Planning website, includes the following:
- Revision of mission, vision, and core values statements
- Recommendation to adopt a positioning statement
- Recommendation to add a new strategic direction, making a total of six
- Identification of a small number of proposed actions for each strategic direction
Members of the campus community are invited to review and offer feedback on the proposal. Comments relating to the strategic plan components as presented, observations about anything missing, and a sense of any priorities will be most useful. Feedback may be sent to Provost Dennis Ponton, Academic Affairs Office, Cleveland Hall 519, by Friday, March 14. Comments received will be used by the College Planning Council and the President’s Cabinet for final preparation of Buffalo State’s next strategic plan.
