Sharon Raimondi, ’71, ’74, professor of exceptional education and director of the joint doctoral program in special education in conjunction with the University at Buffalo, has been appointed treasurer of the Council for Exceptional Children's board of directors. She began her term October 1. As treasurer, Raimondi serves as a voting member of the board and chair of the Finance and Audit Standing Committee.

A member of the council for 33 years, Raimondi is a former school board member for the Hopevale Union Free School District and past president and treasurer of the New York State CEC. She has held numerous other volunteer leadership positions within CEC and is a recipient of the New York State CEC Leadership Award.
