Frances Gage, assistant professor of fine arts, published the essay “Giulio Mancini: Caravaggio’s Death of the Virgin and the Madonna Blasphemed” in Caravaggio: Reflections and Refractions, pp. 83–105 (Pericolo and Stone, eds.; Ashgate, 2014). She also published the article “Invention, Wit, and Melancholy in the Art of Annibale Carracci” in Intellectual History Review 24 (2): 1–26 (special issue, The Nature of Invention).
