Year of the Teacher Weekly Feature: The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic

The Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic, established in 1956 and located in Caudell Hall, is part of the Speech-Language Pathology Department. The clinic serves individuals of all ages with services provided by graduate students in training under the direct supervision of members of the department's faculty and staff. Services are available for articulation and phonological disorders, language impairments, aphasia, voice disorders, hearing disorders, fluency disorders, traumatic brain injury, and accent reduction. Treatment sessions are typically held twice a week for one hour.

All supervisors are licensed by New York State and hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. In addition to the Caudell Hall facility, the clinic operates programs in the Western New York community, including at St. Joseph University School, Elmwood Franklin School, Bornhava, and Aspire of Western New York.

For more information, fees, scholarships, and registration information, visit the Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic website or call ext. 3530.
