Call for Nominations: 'Caught Doing Your Part' Student Recognition Award

All members of the campus community (students, faculty, and staff) are invited to nominate students who exemplify the tenets of the “Do Your Part Campaign” and the “Civil and Caring Academic Community.” This award recognizes all nominated students for their activities and behaviors that provide and promote outstanding engagement with peers as well as the greater Buffalo State community. All enrolled students in good academic and judicial standing are eligible.

Nominations will be accepted throughout the year. Each nomination submitted will be posted here, on the Buffalo State web page, and an award will be provided for the student to pick up from the Dean of Students Office, as long as the student is in good academic and judicial standing.

Each year in March, the committee will select one submission or nomination received during the year that will be highlighted and announced at Take Back the Night, which takes place in April. Nomination forms can be found here and submitted online. Provide a quality description of what the student did, as it will be copied and pasted onto the website.

The “Caught Doing Your Part” award is sponsored by the Faculty-Student Association, the Judicial Affairs Office, and the Weigel Health Center Health Promotions department.

Please contact Paula A. Madrigal, coordinator of health education programs, ext. 4719, with any questions or for more information.
