SUNY CIT 2013: 'Transformation in Higher Education - Sharing Ideas and Showing Results'

Join us for the 2013 SUNY Conference on Instruction and Technology (SUNY CIT), "Transformation in Higher Education: Sharing Ideas and Showing Results," May 21–24 at the SUNY Institute of Technology (SUNYIT) in Utica, New York.

We are currently experiencing a revolution in higher education that is being transformed by emerging technologies and new approaches to teaching and learning. SUNY CIT 2013 will examine these radical changes through a collective conversation among active participants within our own SUNY community. CIT 2013 will engage our faculty, administrators, instructional designers, librarians, and professionals in dialogue about the future of education. We will examine the theory and practice of teaching and learning in today’s blended and online classrooms, virtual spaces, and social media environment. This year’s conference will also explore innovative assessment strategies as we share the ideas and show the results of these efforts.

This year's conference theme is supported by five tracks:

  • Opening Up Education
  • Learners at the Center of Assessment
  • Bridging the Digital Divide through Emerging Literacies
  • Scaffolding Systemness
  • Developmental Education: Improving the Learning Continuum

Complete track descriptions (PDF) are available on the CIT website.

To submit your abstract, visit the Call for Presentations page of the CIT 2013 website. Abstracts will be accepted until Friday, January 18.
