Lou Rera, assistant professor, Communication, presented “How IT Saved a $100,000 No Budget Project” at the New Media Consortium's annual summer conference in Los Angeles on June 11. The conference was hosted by the University of Southern California. Buffalo State College, through a collaboration between Computing and Technology Services and the Communication Department, discovered an in-house solution to provide students and faculty with a multimedia server and a basic approach for the logistics of converged media. Faced with increased pressure from budget cuts, this presentation focused on the creative solutions to technical advancements.
