Heidi Dietz Faletti, associate professor, English, read two papers: The first, “The Fantastic Flanerie of Post-Wende Berlin in Tykwer’s Run Lola Run,” was presented for the section “Technologies of Vision” at the 31st International Conference on the Fantastic in the Arts, held in Orlando, Florida, March 17–21. The second paper, “Compulsive Patterns of Materialistic Pursuit in Stroheim’s Greed,” was read for the section “Representations of the Working-Class in Film” (Seminar) at the 41st annual convention of the Northeast Modern Language Association in Montreal, Quebec, April 8–11.
