AFP 2023 Art Exhibition Now Open; Reception October 5

The Art as Witnessing; Art as Envisioning exhibition is now open in the Czurles-Nelson Gallery.

The Anne Frank Project 2023 exhibition, part of the AFP 2023 Social Justice Festival, is a group show of artworks by campus faculty and student artists centered on responding to the world by using one of two perspectives: art focused on witnessing, showing us “this happened or is happening,” and art that incorporates envisioning, imagining that things can be otherwise. Together, these perspectives provide a foundation for teaching, learning, and making art through a social justice lens.

The exhibition will be open through October 18, 2023.

A reception for the exhibition will be held in the Upton Hall foyer (right outside the Czurles-Nelson Gallery) on Thursday, October 5, from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m.

Please contact Marie Bogner, Czurles-Nelson Gallery coordinator at (716) 878-4390 with questions.
