New York State Victim Assistance Academy Training Announcement

Responding to Sexual Assault, a one-day institute for crime victim service providers, will be held Friday, July 22, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Buffalo State College.

If you work with victims of sexual assault and want to know more about:

o Law enforcement responses to violence against women
o Crisis intervention and trauma-informed care
o Sexual assault forensic exam and DNA
o Advocating in court
o Victim compensation

Join us for an intense one-day training led by professionals in their fields. Looking through the lens of each multidisciplinary Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) member (law enforcement, social work/mental health, health care, and criminal justice), you will work with your peers to learn strategies and practice skills to help a victim become a survivor of sexual assault.

Registration fee of $35 includes lunch and course materials.
