New Website Catalogs Rules-Compliance Information for Colleges

As reported in the Chronicle of Higher Education (March 1, 2012), “Keeping up with the growing body of federal laws and regulations that apply to higher education could be a full-time job for college administrators. A new Web site, the result of a collaboration among 21 higher-education associations, is meant to make that task easier. The Higher Education Compliance Alliance’s site is a repository of mostly public information on federal regulatory requirements, with links to some information that is accessible only to members of specific associations. The content is arranged under nearly 30 broad topics, such as accounting, grants management, and tax compliance.”

Please take a moment to acquaint yourself with this new site and its array of resources. You will find helpful information regarding compliance issues affecting higher education and the administration of university operations.

Additional information about compliance and internal controls can be found at Buffalo State's Internal Control program site.
