New Issue of the 'Journal of Inquiry and Action in Education' Available

The editors of the Journal of Inquiry and Action in Education are pleased to announce that volume 5, issue 3 (2014) is now posted. The current issue features three authors from the Buffalo State faculty: George T. Hole, Distinguished Teaching Professor from the Philosophy and Humanities Department, shares his views in "Understanding Leadership: an Experimental-Experiential Model"; William L White, associate professor and chair of the Social and Psychological Foundations of Education Department, discusses "Curriculum, Marginalization, and the Professoriate"; and Pamela B. Pane, a lecturer in the Exceptional Education Department, presents her master's research project in the article "How Does the Use of Blogs Impact Student Motivation for Literature Discussions."

Two assistant professors of educational leadership and policy, Corrie Stone-Johnson from the University at Buffalo and Kami M. Patrizio from Virginia Tech, reflect on process in "Learning to Lead Public Schools." Mary E. Shea, professor and director of the graduate literacy programs at Canisius College, and coauthor Ardith D. Cole reveal the findings of a long-term project in "Right from the Start: A Kindergarten Program that Helps Prevent Reading Failure." Steven Page, assistant professor; Beth Pendergraft, associate professor; and Judi Wilson, associate professor, all at Georgia Regents University, present their research in "Examining Elementary Teachers' Sense of Efficacy in Three Settings in the Southeast."
