AFSAD in collaboration with MFSA at UB will host the fifth biennial “Networking in Higher Education Conference: Building Bridges for a Better Tomorrow,” Friday June 3, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Buffalo-Amherst.
This year’s conference theme, Core Competencies for Success: Tapping our Potential, offers faculty, staff, and students essential information relative to strategies and/or best practices that aid in better serving students (Pre K–graduate school). Understanding how to work with this population is paramount to teaching, service, and learning outcomes.
The keynote speaker is Dr. Tricia Rose of Brown University. Presenters from Buffalo State include Dr. Welch, Dr. Liao, Dr. Shandomo, Dr. Wall, Joseph Marren, and Dr. Paige. Dr. Hunter will moderate the morning plenary session “Impacting Positive Teaching, Service and Learning Outcomes for the Twenty First Century Student.”
The deadline for registration has been extended to May 27 and the cost is $80.00. Proceeds from this conference fund student scholarships at both institutions. For more information, visit our website at www.buffalostate.edu/orgs/afsad.
