Weigel Health Promotions and Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Institute will present a workshop on LGBTQ targeting by the tobacco industry on Wednesday, October 13, at 11:00 a.m. via Zoom.  

It’s common for LGBTQ individuals to experience disparities that stem from social stigma and discriminatory treatment. But there is a different kind of disparity in the LGBTQ community that is often overlooked: disproportionately higher smoking rates. This webinar examines the ways the tobacco industry specifically targets the LGBTQ community. This is a great opportunity to offer to students for extra credit or résumé building.
