Meet the Medical Director of HOPE Haiti: November 16

Students, faculty, and staff members are invited to meet with Thony Michelet Voltaire, M.D., the head of medical efforts for Haiti Outreach Pwoj Espwa (HOPE) and director of Alyans Sante Borgne, on Monday, November 16, from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. or 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in Cleveland Hall 205.

Thony Voltaire heads a health alliance that has been recognized as one of rural Haitis most successful community health models. As the medical director for HOPE, he works with community residents, staff, volunteers, and board members, including Buffalo State President Katherine Conway-Turner, to increase access to health-care services, provide education to the extremely rural areas of Borgne, and improve the quality of life for this high-needs community.

Whether you are interested in Haitian culture, health, education, economics, sanitation, or solar energy, there are dozens of ways to get involved. Voltaire will make connections to identify ways you can support the rural community of Borgne.
