Latest Publication by the Monroe Fordham Regional History Center

The Monroe Fordham Regional History Center announces the publication of a work first authored by Fr. Thomas Galvin, "Report of the Negro Apostolate in Lackawanna, NY." This account was written for the Venerable Msgr. Nelson Baker in 1932 as a progress report on their efforts to provide physical and spiritual support to the local African American community. The center's latest book, edited by Paul Lubienecki, presidential fellow at the center, details the struggle and cultural conflicts of that time encountered by the African American community and Fr. Baker. This is another dimension of Fr. Baker's rich legacy to the community.
