Join the Burchfield Penney's new book club! Coordinated by the museum's docents, the book club will meet the first Sunday of the month in the board room to discuss books read by Charles Burchfield and mentioned specifically in his journals.
For the April 3 meeting, please read Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (please try to get a copy illustrated by Sir John Tenniel)
May 1: Walden or, Life in the Woods by Henry David Thoreau.
June 5: O Pioneers by Willa Cather
Talking Leaves on Elmwood has copies of the books. Ask at the service desk for a copy, introduce yourself as a Burchfield Penney Book Club member and receive 15 percent off your purchase!
Burchfield Penney admission fees apply (general admission is always free for Buffalo State staff, faculty, and students).
