International Education Week: Today's Activities

The Global Engagement Office invites the college community to join in today's activities celebrating International Education Week:

  • From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., freshmen will be presenting posters in the Campbell Student Union lobby. Find out where these students come from and why they chose Buffalo State.
  • From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the "Souped Up" food truck will be at Cleveland Circle selling a soup-and-sandwich combo for $10. A portion of the proceeds from this sale will go toward travel expenses for a service-learning study-abroad project to Haiti supporting Hope for Haiti.
  • At 3:00 p.m., Wendell Rivera, senior counselor in the Buffalo State Counseling Center, will help students and faculty members de-stress with a drum circle in Rockwell Hall 101.
  • At 7:00 p.m., Peace Corps representative Anne Tatarsky will offer a presentation in Neumann Hall on Peace Corps volunteer opportunities.
  • At 8:00 p.m., Global Village LLC will celebrate our exchange students from France with a reception in Bishop Hall.
  • Special thanks to Chartwells for offering ethnic food in the Bengal Kitchen during International Education Week. Today’s dish is kapsa chicken and rice from Saudi Arabia. It will be offered in addition to other daily selections.
