Brief Job Description
Reporting to the provost, the special assistant to the provost and senate provides a broad range of executive level administrative management and operational support, including accommodating shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment to ensure that the operational initiatives of the provost are implemented in an effective, efficient, and timely manner. The incumbent will perform essential administrative functions including management, coordination, and oversight of activities, which require a thorough knowledge of college policies and procedures.
The special assistant to the provost and senate will exercise initiative and serve as a liaison in facilitating emergency coordination for the Academic Affairs division and will provide administrative support to the College Senate Curriculum Committee. The incumbent will be responsible for managing, collecting, utilizing, interpreting, and analyzing data along with maintaining databases for project management and communication. The incumbent will coordinate and produce a wide range of reports and communications in support of the division and essential operations within the Provost’s Office. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing projections to the deans and auditing compliance requirements, including budget reports within the division and coordinating divisional responsibilities with enterprise risk management.
