Buffalo State invites internal applications (Buffalo State employees only) for the position of director of special international programs.
The director of special international programs is a 10-month, part time position beginning in fall 2019. It is a two-year appointment with the possibility of renewal depending on the status of projects assigned. The anticipated date of hire is August 19, 2019.
Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate informational seminars and assist with applications for faculty and students interested in sponsored international programs (Fulbright, Boren, Clinton Fellowship, etc.)
- Facilitate informational seminars and assist with applications for students interested in national study-abroad scholarships (Boren, Gilman, Rhodes, etc.)
- Work with faculty, staff, and administration to develop internationally focused grant proposals and coordinate funded initiatives when appropriate
Required Qualifications
- Current appointment as a SUNY Buffalo State employee
- Demonstrated experience with grant proposal authorship and administration
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in a language other than English
- Experience living and learning in a country other than the United States
- Demonstrated experience coordinating international academic programs
