Planning a celebratory event for someone often includes the expectation that participants will contribute money to defray the cost of food and/or a gift. Please be aware that there is a high level of risk and personal liability incurred anytime an individual solicits, receives, or disburses funds for such a function.
Buffalo State’s campus foundation (Buffalo State College Foundation Inc.) is available to provide the financial administration associated with such an event.
