Interested in the Financial Sector and the Origins of the Great Recession?

ACM 590 (1 credit): The Subprime Mortgage Crisis and Markov Chain Models in Credit Risk Management, will be offered Mondays (February 28 through April 4), 6:30–9:10 p.m. in Classroom Building C104 during the spring 2011 semester. The instructor is Matthew Nagowski, vice president of credit risk management at M&T Bank.

This is a course in the master of science in professional applied and computational mathematics program. This course is open to any student. Call the Mathematics Department for further information.

Prerequisites: Linear Algebra, Linear Regression, Introduction to Programming

Suggested coursework: Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics
