Intercollegiate Athletics has been offered the use of a small cannon for Homecoming and Bengals home football games on Coyer Field this season. The cannon would be fired in triumph after each Bengals touchdown or field goal. Buffalo State ROTC will demonstrate the cannon to members of the Athletics Department today, September 16, at noon (approximately). The campus community is welcome to attend. People who are near Coyer Field during the test may hear several short "booms" but should not be alarmed. The cannon rounds are 10-gauge blanks.
