Mark Severson, dean of the School of Natural and Social Sciences and chair of the Year of the City Committee, invites the community to a panel discussion on the Future of the City on Thursday, May 2, at 6:30 p.m. in the Burchfield Penney Art Center's Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Auditorium. Panelists include Howard Zemsky, managing partner of Larkin Development, chair of the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority, and chair of the Buffalo State College Council; Donn Esmonde, award-winning columnist for the Buffalo News and tireless spokesperson for Buffalo’s visionaries; Jill Jedlicka, executive director of Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper; Eric Walker, energy specialist and cofounder of PUSH Buffalo; David A. Franczyk, member of the Buffalo Common Council representing the Fillmore District and a lecturer in the History and Social Studies Education Department; and Joseph Golombek Jr., member of the Buffalo Common Council representing the North District and a lecturer in the History and Social Studies Education Department. The event is free and open to the public.
